Job Summary
This is a technical role, responsible for maintaining and administering the company products and services deployed or to be deployed within the Customer’s environment. The role will primarily focus on customer network improvements, feature testing, the maintenance window support, and supporting both critical and non-critical issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Work within the engineers team to install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware, software, and related infrastructure components
- Participate in creating and maintaining network documentation of logical network level, physical network design, HLD, LLD, etc.
- Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot network issues
- Operate and monitor network equipment in multiple locations
- Prepare labs and PoCs to test new network designs and configurations
- Provide written reports of the project status, equipment, and network problems on a regular basis to the customer and internal teams
- Participate in joint conference calls and/or face-to-face meetings to discuss technical issues
- Continuously learn and stay ahead of the industry and competitive solutions, products, and service
- Excellent knowledge of the company’s product and service lines
Skills and Qualifications
- B.S. degree in the engineering field or equivalent related work experience is desirable
- Proven associate-level knowledge of computer networking
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Understanding of the OSI model and network protocols operation
- Knowledge of Routing, Switching, Security, and other network device operation principles
- Experience in working with network emulation platforms (Packet Tracer, GNS3, EVE-NG, etc.)
- Ability to re-create network topologies, test different configurations and scenarios
- Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with experience in customer-facing sales activities
- Proven technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new protocols and applications
- Ability to read technical documentation and communicate with customers/vendors in English.
- Associate or higher-level industry certification is a plus (Juniper, Cisco, or other vendors)
Preferred
- Understanding specific end-user segments is a plus, e.g., mobile operators, data centers, cloud technologies, financial services, IT solutions, etc…
- Previous experience with technical products and solutions (network systems and technologies)
- Familiarity with Juniper Networks product line
